I usually don't like deseaming on Mini's but that looks nice

I'm glad he didn't deseam the roof gutter. Looks like a pretty nice installation.

Speaking of which...

I just spent the day out a Mt. Cotton at the hillclimbs, and low and behold, there were some minis there! I thought this one deserved a mention ---

It's a 160hp Teg motor, brakes, dash, etc. 15" wheels :o The front's been lengthened too, if you look at the back of the bonnet you can see where the normal one finishes... Nice fella, it was his first time out.

Might as well ressurect this post. :)
We are doing them - It just takes a while to source the decent engines, that's all.
Well, . . . . actually I managed to find an engine relatively quickly, it was recovering from the heart attack caused by paying the bill that took longer . . . . . .
Seriously though, I think the most time (For me) has been spent on wiring. I hate wiring. Really. When I complete the car (Being registered that is, for when do these things ever get finished?) I am going to post a complete wiring diagram of my car up (Obviously apart from the car alarms & kill switches) so the next poor *@#$^& can do this conversion a little bit easier.
I will also put up a little "How-To" (About 14 pages), which is almost complete. Not everyones cup of tea, but may give some of you an idea or two. :)

The silver one is owned by a friend of mine (Nathan) & it`s a bit shorter now,,, a few weeks ago (just before the muster actually) he was driving along , minding his own business, buzzing along happilly & then suddenly "Crack"!!!,,, ball joint brooke off, spearing him into a rather solid object & smashed it up pretty bad,,, about $8.5Ks worth of damage & he was hurt a fair bit too,,, hes back on the mend tho & the car is being repaired, & i believe his insurance is covering it all, so all is good,,, but just wasn`t what he had planned to do,,, so keep your eyes & ears out for this one again,,, it has some serious power under that (slightly longer) bonnet ;-)

& another mate of mine (John) has also built a Vtec powered mini for racing,,, quite a fair bit of work too i might add,,, he`s also moved the steering rack back etc etc etc,,, too much work for me really, but a nice job,,, keep an eye out on the race tracks for that one soon too :-)

Vtec bricks are everywhere,,, you just need to know where to look :-)
