Back in 1991 when the MCCNSW hosted Minifest, Rauno Aaltonen was a special guest for the celebrations.
I happened to be standing next to him when he was checking out a Twin Cam X-flow powered Clubman. The owner said to him "this probably has a bit too much power for what you used to do in your rally days", to which Rauno replied "you can never have too much power"

Touche - Rauno :D

Dean,

A couple of quick questions:

1. Why did you change the Microtech and what are you changing it to?
2. Are you to go coil-overs etc to get the corners to behave?

Cheers,
Tricky

Tricky,

I still have the Microtech computer.. just not the ignition system... I have changed it to the M&W ignition system.

As for the shocks... its along way off.... I have a few more important changes to make first.

Update soon... Cheers

YAY i hit 2000km's on the weekend...

No new news... everything in running fine... No noises... no rattles at the moment...

Thanks to brad for showing me how to adjust my brakes...

As for everyones questions... how does the barrell cooler preform...

Dam i am happy with it.... Over the whole weekend... I only saw Air Intake hit 30deg once... 99% of the time air intake sits steady between 26deg & 28deg. unless really early morning or late at night where its much much cooler...

Next step is new shocks early Jan... I will let you know what i choose

I hope his arms are better than mine. Mine torque steers like a bitch after 5500. Maybe bigger rubber and hardening up the shocks may help that?

Just a quick update... been too busy working...

But I have had a few strengthening bars put in a few months ago to stop the flex i was getting on the dyno.

Boy did it change the car completly...

Last weekend I finally got my boss for my steering wheel bringing the steering wheel up into the right postition.. Boy Greg at Mini Classic does a great job... very impressed.

Photo's soon..

cheers

This is one insane little car!
Can't wait to see the figures it produces when the cotton wool is pulled off..
