Thats right, getting caught is just an inconvenience at worst. Thats only because you'd need to find a set of good standard wheels to fit to the car before getting it inspected.
Sure they can break or blow when used on anything other than a golf cart, but so could lots of other aftermarket stuff that is on the market these days...
The main goal with most of the comments are pointed towards getting mad-mk1 to accept the fact that without the required stamps or numbers, they are not legal for road use.
I have no problem seeing them used on his road car, cos they look impressive...... i'm just trying to convince him that they will not pass an inspection, if he is unlucky enough to ever need one.
Theyre probably safer than lots of the tyres you'd find on OTHER p-plated cars.... especially in the wet. But they are just not approved.
