B4 i go for a drive, i always check oil/water/brake fluid. And just have a general look for any obvious problems.

I do the same in my Crappadore usually once a week.

I sweep the rust that has precipitated from the underside onto the floor into a dustpan.

On my mini, one is clutch, and the other is break. and it shuld say on it what they are, or have a little picture or something.

They both use the same stuff, so just make sure they are both full. Easy.

On all cars - every car ever made - one should say clutch and the other should say brake. Its the only way we are ever going to break the break for brake cycle.

i check to see howmuch of the floor pan is still attached to the car, then i check around the car to see if anybodys knicked anything off it, or how many new trolley dings its got after being at the shops.
check oil and water, brake / clutch levels, check how much tread i have left on my tires, check if you can visibly see anything unroadworthey.
