Hi everyone, I've finally bought myself an English Clubby.
I love it, but i just wish it had external door hinges.

Has anyone tried converting the internal door hinge minis to external hinged doors.

What needs to to be done in order to make mk1 stlye doors fit?

And how can i do it cheaply?

Are you completely mad??? The whole reason for getting a Pommy/Jap spec car is to NOT have the external hinges and quarter windows....

You will need the 'classic' style A panels as well as the hinges of course.
The door will need re-enforcing on the inside to take the new laod path.

While you're at it you may as well fit the roundy front for that rover look you've
always wanted.

All jokes aside, people in England can be found doing this conversion

"darn it Rodger, these doors close perfectly every time. I want them to sag like my wife does."

Also there are hinge sticker kits available that from a few meters away look like external hinges , with shaddows and all ....... Typical , a lot here would love internal hinges and a lot over there want external hinges ......
