Geez remind me not to call anyone a legend. I guess I was excited that there was a problem I did something and it solved it, and this was in part because someone (SK) said that is was probably a badly ground ECU. By the way it did come back on the drive around but I moved the ECU again and it disappeared. Now that I know what the deal is - a combination of the wiring touching the ECU and the ECU moving (not grounding properly) - and how to solve it, the rest is easy. Its not knowing the faintest whats wrong or how to solve it that really sucks...And yes see yas Sunday... :D :D :D

Cheers

Matt

Yeah, yeah Matt....we have to keep Simons head size down so that all his hats fit :)

I hope the ECU is going to be securely located and bolted to a good earth for the run on Sunday....watch out for places where terminals, connectors or wiring can touch or vibrate over to metal bits....earths.

it's OK.. I don't mind being called a foot every now and then - I don't really have a big head, just Mick is snooty cos I know how old he is

so is the ECU screwed down to something now?

Simon, yeah it was bolted before but obviously not perfectly. I will spend Sat arvo sorting this one out. Yeah I'll be there at 10 as well irrespective but I think the Mustangs would add rather than detract from the cruise. Big and Small.

Cheers

Matt

Yeah...turn up at 1000...I have asked that the Stangs leave a little earlier than their 1000 from Civic...I should get a call from my friend Sunday morn.

I specifically asked Minstar to leave the old girls alone....half of them have creaky old 289s and their brakes are legendary (bad) anyway.....it wouldn't be a fair contest :P

I'm sure CPOCSM can field that question

Cruise went well, no breakdowns which is always a highlight! CPOCSM, Minstar and me took the alternate route home through some twisties. Both of those Minis went well, I was certainly flying trying to catch up to them after I got stuck behind that bloody caravan... and I was on a motorbike!

Yeah great, pity about the dampness the Minstar was moving about quite a bit on the road back to Sutton. And I tell you what Rob's 998 was no slouch either :o . The the temp needle rose a little (after 30 mins flat out) so I backed off abit.

My first cruise. Can we have another can we, can we... :D. I guess I will have to wait for the Araluen Run 3000.

Cheers

Matt
