Cappuccino engine is rear wheel drive but you can get the same engine from a diffferent car in front wheel drive - just something to watch out for.

Ah who needs torque when you can spin all the way to 11,000 rpm

12' hb torana and hillman imp rims are the right pcd for the mini

I've seen those torana rims crack, from the wheel stud hole and the stub hole. It was happening on a disc braked car. The owner didn't really want to find out why it was doing it. He just stopped using them for safety's sake. I'd guess that the wheels simply shouldn't be used on anything other than a drum-braked torana.

You might be able to find some 7" halogen headlights in decent condition.Mine came from an early model Mitsubish Colt.

Yeah - I got 7" headlights out of a Datsun 120Y - they had good reflectors and provision for a parking light, so I could convert my original parkersto indicators and remove the orange warts.

How much did you pay for the 7" reflectors ???

Just wondering as H4 reflectors are $30 a set and H4 hallogen bulbs are $10 - $15 each.
They make a huge difference to night lights.

I hunted for ages at three different wreckers to find the 7" units with good bulbs (they are H4's), got the pair for $11.00 at ABC Wacol. It was about a 18 months ago though.

One thing I have found to be successful at wreckers is to get the part you want and offer a fair price at the counter BEFORE they give you a figure. I started trying this after another yard tried to charge me $22 for a 120Y choke cable.

hilman Imp pistons fit in a small bore engine and i was told work very well. not sure 998 i think.

OLD Suzuki swift centre concol fits perfectly into a mini, But I wouldent have a concol in my car my self.

Use the heater core from Anycar as a second radiator, plumed up 2 your heater Bypass.

Palsar alternator was somthing i did years ago on my car.

(I ASK WHAT OTHER WIPER MOTORS FIT)

You can offset bore a 998/1098 block to fit Imp pistons (now ~$800/a set from UK) but it needs a 1098 (not 998) crank as pistons are real short. Oh and about .140" decked off the block even then.

<edit> I have built 3 of `em.

I hear Suzuki? bike pistons are even better, talk to TheMiniMan. 8)

Remember to upgrade the wiring to the headlights with a couple relays to really let them shine!

Honda city lights bolt in, they are Hella from standard, and are not sealed beamed so you can put any wattage blub in subject to wiring, relay etc.

Makes such a difference having good lights.

Many vans run H4's and 7" roundies. I found the VW's have great flat front and high watt globes for my LS. Also the Jap stuff look nice and curved for the deluxe.

The heater units also have flow switches to replace the crappy BMC unit that always rusts up.

I have fitted starrion disks and volvo 4 pots to a mini hub and that was fairly cheap (but heavy)

Still waiting for someone to tell me which sway bar fits a mini.
