Hey everyone,

Just wondering what you guys run on your adjustable suspension setups? Would be interesting to see the range of setups everyone uses.

I'm currently running:
Front : -2deg camber, -5deg castor, standard toe out
Rear : 0deg camber, dead ahead.

Seems to handle pretty well, still getting some understeer on the limit, so im looking at trying to get it to handle neutral / slight oversteer.

So I'm just playing around to see what i prefer and was thinking about running some toe out at the back. Do any of you guys here run rear toe out for the street, and how do you find it?

As a general rule, toe out leads to instability. Try a bit and see what happens. Be prepared for a few strange things to happen, like putting on a bit of lock and all of a sudden it dives in, especially on longer corners. Try and see what happens is the best bet. What may be a side effect will be if you brake hard the back may want to step out more than normal and the car may end up spinning, more in the wet than the dry. Toe out is used on the front as a static setting and all being well most probably goes to toe in under power. I am only surmising here as I have never driven a mini with known toe out on the rear.

Yea, i will give it a go, I was just wondering as i heard the mini7 racers here in NZ generally have a few mm of toe out at the back to help increase turn in. Apparently it takes a bit of getting used to as it feels as though the back is stepping out on you as you turn in.

I ran toe-out at rear for a bit because the car had previously had a hit and I couldn't get LR trailing arm forward to have even toe-in.
Handling was as said, a bit disconcerting. :shock:
I think it would help turn-in on the track, but it was unnerving for street driving.
I run 1* neg on rear and ~1.5mm toe-in now.
Front is stock setup, but it sits low and has about 0.5* neg camber. :wink:

My minis setttings all depend on the tyres used & the type of driving it`s getting

the road mini uses (either) A032 yokos (or) Ohtsu Falkens (depending on the use for track day or road use) & set it up as ---> .5 deg neg camber ,,,5 deg caster,,,& 1/16th toe out at the front end.

with .5 deg neg camber & 1/16th toe in on the bum

the road race mini has "Hoosier Street TDs" & it runs all 4 wheels straight up & down, that is "zero camber" & about 5 deg caster with 1/16th " toe in on front & out at the rear

the speedway mini...hee hee...well,,,the left front gets massive posative camber & 3.5 deg caster & set on the deck (very low ride height), the right front gets massive neg camber & 5 deg caster & toe is 1/16th" outwards

the rear end has the right rear with 2 deg neg camber & toe out 1/32nd " (jacked right up high) & the left rear ,,,er,,,arr,,,basically i couldn`t give a sh!t, it doesn`t do much but dangle along doin whatever the hell it wants,,,it`s hardly ever on the ground anyways :-) most times it`s being smashed into by over zealous & very annoyed torana/cortina/charger/commodore drivers anyways :-)

so,,,make cake with that if you can :-)

Had 2 deg neg on front with a wee bit of toe out
.5 deg neg on back with a touch of toe out
sorry cant remeber exact figures, was a case or adj go an drive down backroad, come back adjust go and drive...
