A question best suited to an engineer if you know one , especially since the cost of getting them here only to be told no . I don't know the rules about fiberglass doors but there have been some used in kit cars etc , so there has been a precedence but the Engineer may want impact bars or something . They may also need a report from the manufacturer to say they are strong enough . They'd be nice and light and brilliant bragging rights , but if you left them as unpainted/weave you'd have idiots constantly trying to push on them to see if they "felt" like carbon fiber .....
yeah i know one

just havent talked to him in a month or so

will be getting back in touch as soon as i've saved some money for my gf...and can get back on track with the conversion...
i actually wanted to have intrusion bars but for some reason DoT doesnt like them...they said "if yer in a crash and we need to get you out of the car then the intrusion bar could get in the way"...personally i view intrusion bars as preventative measures...so you dont get so mangled...and if you are in a wreck that would mean cutting through intrusion bars to get you out i'd say you'd rather that they were there than not

thats just me though...
if i went stock 850 (sliding window) doors then there's not much in the way of intrusion protection...just what? 2mm thick metal door skins...may as well not be there at all

so compared to that carbon should actually be an improvement
yeah i will be very careful where i park this car anyway...gonna get carbon bootlid too if i can...carbon front, carbon doors, carbon bootlid...should save a fair bit of weight...not sure about weave showing yet...sure is bling...but might look a bit weird...even with a predominantly black colored car (as i have planned)...
