Just Browsing Through the tafe course guide and found this one...

it'd be good to be able to pick and choose :)

http://www.vlepub.sa.edu.au/xml/courses/crsemod_MGZ.aspx?CICID=2006BEGMGZ&SG=AWD

i was looking through going

Rust - yes
Welding - Yes.. ;)

but i wouldn't want to do personal development for 40 hours unless i was assured i'd get to hug someone... :)

I did a TAFE course a few years back for computers and had to do the personal development part.. What a load of old crock it was..

By the end of the course, two of us older students had taught the teacher a few things about real life she didn't know....

I started two TAFE, lasted less than a semester at the first (really boring)... the second one i absolutely blitzed without even really trying so i decided to go to uni where we actually learnt something. Got my uni degree last year. :)

Well, if we ignore the fact that this should probably be in General Discussion............  ............. I did a TAFE course back in '96 or '97 called Engineering Multi Trades. 99% of us did the whole course, but only one person in the class of 20ish actually passed it. One of the projects was to machine/fabricate a working 10cc stationary engine and carby from blocks of steel and brass. No, I didnt finish mine, but that one guy did. He's a butcher now
