Borgy, you could bolt up the G16A block, but then you loose the G13B's nice forged crank. The G16A crank is crap - long stroke and weak as piss. Sure you will get a bit more torque out of it, but it is limited to 6,000rpm and about 200 fwhp before things get ugly.

Far better IMHO to stick with G13B and bolt on a whipple/lysholm super charger - instant fat torque curve all the way to 8,000rpm (with BD14 cams) no lag....

Or, if you MUST have NA, keep the stock crank, get some a/m rods and pistons, suitable cams and a solid lifter conversion, and rev to 10,000 rpm day in day out.

Personally I prefer the torque...

he he i know for a fact that adding a supercharger to actually stay under the bonnett would be mighty hard in a mini. aint alot of spare space under a roundy nose.

could just bore out the G13B. adds torque. my mechanic reckons i have middle range torque, more than stock but not as much as the 1.6 bottom ends.

Hello swiftmini,

Seems to me, you get up to a lot of web site!
To people in Oz, I have been building Suzuki Gti mini in round nose front for while.
I have started before swiftmini but kids and so on......my exuse  .

I wish I could share a lot of build with people but, I'm still in development stage myself.

I have now completed port and polished head with Yamaha R1 carbs.
I'm using mk1 Gti unlike swiftmini.
So, I have under gearbox subframe which made my life bit easier.

I'm using MG Midget pedalbox so I can have more space under the bonnet.
It is very nice too see so many people who are willing to mod mini in extreme.

Cheers
Atchi

Hi,

If you are making one like you mensioned.
you will need to make it so that you can bolt it off.

I think you need to post it for sale in 16Vmini forum and I'm sure someone will buy it.

Cheers
Atchi
