Ok, my moke has aftermarket smiths and lucas ammeter, oil and temperature gauges. Now they work at what they are suppose to do but none of them light up. I wasn't too worried thinking it was just blown globes and didn't bother at all with them. But last night I started tracing rthe wires from them and found that some of the earth wires and red connector wires are missing and worst of alll I can't find a point where they were originally hooked up to power them.

Can anyone give me a simple explanation or diagram which line to hook into to get them illuminated. The light switch seems to be wired as a standard thing in all minis and mokes.

Cheers,

TasTyger :)

tis just a matter of supply a power wire from some source; most likley somewhere where the fuses are held on the far left under the dash pad. supply a wire to that and tag other wires off that to power certain things; stereo, spot lights, neons, ciggarette lighter, anything.

hope this helps
