what i wanna know is. what is the next move from here? bear in mind that it will be a daily driver, while i go stupid on the real deal (a mini yet to be bought)
match porting???
cam???

don't wanna spend too much more, wanna save for the mini, thanks guys

You can pick up an easy 3HP or so if you fit an HS4 carb & manifold off a 998 Clubby.
That HS2 is just too small for a deep breathin' 1098...

Nathan, your 1-1/2" carb already IS an HS4.

These were stock carb on 998 Clubbies, also on all the Oz MiniMatics and Morris 1100S(1300) autos.

850, Mini Deluxe, Mini K and 1098 Clubby only got an HS2 (1-1/4"). Swapping that for an HS4 is worth around 3HP or so on an 850, according to Clive Trickey. (remember him?)
Probably more on the bigger motors.
