OK I'm sure I've seen this mentioned somewhere else but I've looked and searched and can't find a thing. . . .so it's time to ask. . .

A friend of mine has almost finished putting together a draw through turbo setup for his car. . .he's had a dissy from a late 80's turbo Subaru Leone (he's using this setup 'cos it has vac-advance/boost retard capabilities) modified to fit and clamp properly to the motor. . .and now it's time to wire it up. . .and for some reason this is my responsibility  .
He tells me that there are four wires coming out of the dissy - does anyone know anything about where they should go? I haven't even seen the setup yet, so I have no idea whether the Subaru dissy has an internal igniter (like a Pulsar unit) of needs and external one (like the Hondas).
If anyone has any info, it would be great to hear from you. . . .

Thanks,
Pete in Perth.

My guess would be that it has an external one, since it's got four wires... Presumably two of the wires will go to the coil, and the other to the external igniter.. maybe? I'm not sure, just speculation here. I havn't heard of anyone running one in a mini before, but anythings possible.

Gday mate the four wires are for an exturnal ignition igniter I put a carby fed 4age in a mk1 cortina and had to get one of these the best and easiest one to use is from a speed shop it cost me the pricely sum of 60 dollars a couple of years ago but first they tried to sell me a 800 dollar one till I explained it did not need to have full adjustability in the unit itself just supply power to coil and dizzy as it wasn't a drag car.

O.G. speed shop in adelaide sold me one of these units to me . it came with full instructions on how to wire it up and it did work without any trouble .

Thanks Ralph.
