As far as I know, they're actually NOT legal, but my original handbrake is there and functional so I don't see it being too much of a problem - probably just throw a jumper over the second handle at pink slip time.

Interesting thing I found out the other day - someone else may be able to confirm for me. Apparently If your car has a single circuit master cylinder (as with a lot of us!), I was told at rego when they do your brake test they have to test the handbrake as well - but hardly even any of the pink slip guys know it. Has anyone else ever heard that before??
(I'm a forgetful bastard so if I did hear that from someone on here - be nice!!! )

They are supposed to test the handbrake.. whether single circuit MC or not.
But, re the Tapley meter they use, with sensor on the brake pedal- I've seen them get a reading from it without even driving the car... they must beat it up out back or something.

ps. this time they actually drove mine!

hey i ust got a moke and it has a hydraulic hand brake, it is built into the same component as the original so no body can even tell that is hydraulic. if i ever get pulled over, no one will even notice. it even has the rellease button intact so it all looks legitimate, sweet...
