This is the link for a nice mini van for sale in new zealand.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mini-min ... enameZWDVW
Problem is this car was sold to a mate of mine 3 days before this listing came up from someone else other than the seller.
do you not find that a little wierd, a potential customer comes around to view the car takes a whole heap of photos then you find your car that you just sold to another seller on ebay for more than you sold it for.

Man the worst is he exports a lot of minis overseas, getting oless and less over here now.
can some one warn the minimania guys about this one cos i cant do it unfortunatly (pc settings).
waht is the world coming to when you have to protect your numberplate on your car.

Good spotting, Jai. Jeez, it sh!ts me to see NZ minis going overseas. That pr!ck Turkys needs a punch in the knads (His website). I know we import Mustangs etc, but minis, once common on the roads here, are now getting fairly sparse.

At least in this case, the scam guy might put people off trying to buy our minis over the internet.

Incidentally, was that van finally sold on Trade Me? And is it coming to Wellington? The seller had it listed for quite a while, and to give him his due, he didn't drop his price which I thought was fair.

NO its with minibitz in auckland.
what gets me about that buyer is he started his selling off at $4000 or nearest offer when i spoke to him he wanted $4300 and then the next time he listed it it was $5000 ono, now since he listed it he spent money on a full brake overhaul, new interior and a few other things thinking it would make it more valuuble but he was wrong and lost money in the end.
Im form over seas but in 4 years i have seen less and less minis on the road and more and more going to US, hey they pay great money but there are other countries that masssed hundreds and thousnads of minis (i.e south africa) rust free minis cheao as chips.but they only touch the really rare ones from there.
Its great they all want them and are paying great money but if they were that easy to get they would have made them available over there years anyears ago. (no prejudice at all) cos its only the good ones that go and the best of it the LE's and cheapo ones are selling for house prices over there.
dunno if you guys notice it in oz but we do here.

Yep I would report this to eBay and get them to look into it.. I once brought a Nintendo game which was very rare on eBay from a guy in Spain.. Of course I never recieved it and within two weeks the game was listed again!! I could not believe it and not only that he used the same photos again.. Anyway to make a long story short I sent an email to eBay and complained. I gave them reference to both auctions and they quickly closed his account..

But the thing is about a month later he opened up another account under another name and again he had this game listed with the same photos.. So once again I emailed eBay and they shut him down again..

But it dont end there he did this about four times but I was onto him and I kept reporting him to eBay and they kept shutting him down. Eventually I emailed him and said have you ever wondered why your accounts keep getting closed and said its because you owe me $150.00 and you are a thief.. He then sent a reply back to me saying that I was crazy and that I did not know what I was talking about. Even though I supplied photos and evidence of his criminal activities towards me and no doubt other people.

Anyway on another note I cannot believe this guy has so many Mini's for sale and worst of all it is sickening to see them all in the US. I also noticed on one of the Mini's for sale it has a set of Cosmic wheels....

I also think its funny that he mentions that he had a Nigerian scammer buy one of his Mini's on eBay :)..

Still, I do lust after Boss Mustangs and so on. Not many people want the only fully NZ designed and manufactured automobile, the trusty Trekka!

Ah, were it that good. No, but interesting none the less. Back in the 70s, there were unbelievably tight controls on importation. The Trekka was produced in Auckland to a local design from Skoda parts, and was only 2WD. Hire purchase made it very attractive to the point where people would sign up for one, use it for one trip and then hide from the finance company.

There are only 3 left registered on the road here. The build quality wasn't great but they were rugged and were surprisingly adept on rough terrain - not Landie country but okay for farms and the beach.

A bloke has written a book and there have been quite a few articles recent;y as people reminisce. It was basically crap, but it was ourcrap! And quite a few did hard duty for a fair few years.

still looks crossed with a early landy and something from india in a drunken mating ritual.
should give one to jeremy clarkson and see what he thinks of it.lol I bet he fattens it with a real 4x4.
