Gets a little emotional on this topic sometimes. It can be the head is not quite flat, there could be a little damage, or the gasket just failed. People used to have good (or often bad results) with the copper/paper/steel composite layered gaskets. I found that if the surface wasn't quite right or the stud tension wasn't quite right the paper layer in these gaskets would push out and let the oil escape. Especially because it's near the corner, the clamping pressure isn't very good here near the oil feed.

The Payen or equivalents are good, but just have a yarn to Minisport. They've sold more head gaskets than I've had hot dinners, so they'll give you another gasket ot try or give you some pointers.

For small bores the Victor Reinz one from Germany is pretty good, it's a steel + composition one.
For 1275s, the AF470 is a composition gasket like a BK450, but it has an O ring for the oil feed hole instead of a copper ring. May seal better where head isn't quite flat.

Hi Kevin,
Talked to Greg at minisport today and he also recommended the victor reinz gasket for my deluxe 1000 but it looks like its out of stock.
He also advised I should get the head decked even though it was not leaking before.
Should i just get the HYL3610 again and use Hylomar also if I cannot find a victor reinz gasket.

I would use what you can get for now. Retighten when hot, then again after 1000 km or so.

Yes. Back nuts off 1/8 turn in sequence and retighten. Then check rocker clearance.
