Hey all - after a somewhat bumpy start to this forum, I’ve decided to try again after some persuasion from a friend. So...
I”m Br3nt - restoring a 75 Clubman and have so many questions that I can’t think straight.
I had a look at the engine that came with the car, on the block it’s a 10YC... and on the head it stamped with 2A629 - if I’m correct - and
I’m prob not, does that mean it’s a 998 head and a 1098 block?
Cheers
Br3nt

Welcome back. :)
Yes it does mean that.
It would go (edit- a little) better with a 12G202 as used on Morris 1100 motors.

or if the existing head was overhauled and tidied up maybe Doc...

Welcome back Br3nt...best advice is to start a dedicated thread for you car where all the Q&As can be found in the one place...

Stick with it br3nt, it is a really good forum with just a couple of rogue elements that need to be ignored.
