Hi, I have decided to rebuild the engine for my Mini-Matic and I need new pistons.
I thought this would be easy, but there is mention that the matic pistons are different to the manuals.
Is this true? If so, where can one buy the correct auto pistons, or are the standard 998 sufficient?

For note: the pistons that came out of the engine are MOWOG M2039 R23

Any help is appreciated :)

Yes the Matic ran higher compression, 8.9:1?
As the pistons had less dish.
These days they are NLA, so I would fit flat top ones.

The head was a 1456, same as the Mini Deluxe.
(295 head was only used on the Morris 1100 automatics)
