You could ask Graham Hatfield (on AUSMINI)...and, Mike was keenly involved in organising car rally's etc for the Soldier On group...
OK, will do, do you know Graham's username on here? I will ask at the local car club meeting as someone may know or know who to ask.

Thought it might have been my Dad's old one that was the same green. Unfortunately his was a different rego according to that request for info, had a few differences at the time he owned it in the early 70s when i was about 2.
I think I might follow that information up with a request for info via RMS, although from a previous one they are reluctant to give out owner's names.

Dad's one had 12" wheels on the front and a jesus bar on the outside of the roof for the copilot who was clearly not concerned about safety in a rollover.
No sign of a jesus bar (why didn't he grab the gutter / window?), the wheels could have been anything I guess but it does have S disk brakes so that would suggest 10's. And the wheels look the same as when Mike was looking for info.

Dad used to compete in rallies up at Hampton in it.
Photo below is from a khanacross out at Nirimba. There is only one other pic that i know of for this car, and i don't have a copy, but it is of me and my brother standing in the back where the roll cage was and obviously that was installed after the pic below.
That's a cool memory to have about your Dad's mini! where's Hampton, a google suggests Vic but Nirimba brings up SW Sydney... This apparently was active around Sydney.

Sorry i can't help with yours, it looks like a great resto project.
Thanks, It will probably be a while before I get to it so I have a bit of time to research it's history I guess. Just about all panels are dinted so it will take some work, which makes it difficult because a full resto would end up redoing a lot of the period changes to tidy them up but I feel it would lose it's authenticity on the other hand if I'm going to have to paint it those bits might stick out...
