I'm interested to see what it looks like, as I have similar plans for my dash. A cool fibreglassed curvy one, painted the same red as my car.

are you going to use a dash from any car as a base or all hand cast fibreglass?

imo painting it will make it look poop.
u can use vinyl, u just have to heat and stretch the poop out of it. it's not an easy job at all. but it'll look 21390812390821309128309128301298758329821093873409582394721983721893219873097398749834725 times better.

but then again what would a motor trimmer know on interior appearance

u'll be happy with the product either way, coz u did it. but it'll look well done and professional if u cover it in vinyl.

my $4.95 worth

Why dont you get the stone guard stuff from super cheap and paint the dash in that then when that is done and dry spray paint it blue or what ever colour. I stoneguarded my sub box and it gives it a good afffect, it also hides alot of mistakes and imperfections (not saying that there is any mistakes or imperfections) hmm come to think of it maybe I should just shut up now. lol. but that is just my 2cents worth it is looking good all the same anyway .

I am making a custom dash but it isn't out of anything it is all off the top of my head so hopefully it looks totally schmicko.........

Pat

I think you've done a brilliant job ausminis :P I'd prolly go black or car colour for colour, and dice all that crap ON the dash (bigass tach and shift light, etc) but, just fantastic!

Absolutely brilliant ;)

If you need a tacho then its cos ya will be driving on the edge. At that time you dont want to be looking sideways to see when to shift!!!!

Try running a shift light directly in front of your works the nut much nicer.
