Here we go. Someone has turboed an A series with EFI using a Haltech ECU.

The original post is here

http://www.minimania.com/web/threadid/6 ... thread.cfm

It uses a Civic TB and two injectors.

Neeeeeeed more pics... Lots more pics !

Its a wet-manifold setup, so not 100% optimised, but damn near it ...
550cc injectors.. so a theoretical maximum of about 200Hp .... Nice....

I can see a certain 998 Turbo breaking 130Hp with one of these setups !

If its Big Al, then this guy has been a shit-stirrer for years.... but he usually backs it up with facts....

I'd be up for a setup like that.... I'll have to go talk to Adaptronic again about that ECU .....

Cheers
J

Yea, got home (just)

Still no idea what the problem is.... it got to my front yard, and thats where it stayed......

Will push it into the garage tomorrow night and find out .......

start with Inlet manifold and work from there (i have a suspicion that the inlet gasket has blown out......)

heres hoping its not a major thing......

I've played with this ECU on his laptop while we were driving around in traffic, it's pretty cool 8) Especially when people see you with a laptop in a mini changing fuel and advance curves

Easy enough to use ?

I'm a real dinosaur when it comes to EFI ......

but hell, I'm an IT manager, I'm sure i can work it out..... just need to outsource the actual pc work to India .......

So its good ?
Worth the $$$ ?

Yea, i've never really played around with one before, you'd have to talk to chris about it, but for the short time i used it, it wasn't to hard to get the hang off. He got it professionally dynotuned, which i'm sure you would want to do if you went that way.

I reckon it's worth it for the pub factor alone

I would trust no mini to india

What's one of these worth?
