Hi my starter motor has died does anyone have any recommendations on what type to replace it with. Engine is standard ? to the best of my knowledge with twin 1 1/2 SU carbies .

If you want to keep the S original with date on starter, I'd get it reconditioned.
Karcraft and minikingdomonline both sell new brushes, bushes and drive pinions.

If you`re not that interested in keeping the starter motor original (easy swaped back anyways)
then we have extreamly good starters here, will start any mini , any time.
with built-in solenoid (commonly called "piggy-back"),
they`re better starters & better value than anything else on the market. simples :-)
