I took a video of my Clubman & put it on Instagram. That is the most I've done to it in months.

Cleaned, stripped and painted assorted brackets and fittings that will eventually be fitted to a customers '81 Moke following an engine rebuild.
Hanging them above a stoked-up pot-belly stove is the only way to dry things in winter down here :-)

Installed a power outlet so I can charge my phone etc. neatly tucked away under the dash shelf.
Also finished installing my top arm bump stops. started this job last year just before Rylstone and found that the old ones had been fitted with a bolt and nut!! For the life of me I can't see how anyone could fit the nut on the back of the bolt [rip Dad you were very determined]. I must be just as determined because I managed to finish the one I pulled off with about 10 hours to go till the start of Rylstone using wife's tweezers and little mirror I think. Anyway now they are SCREWED to the subframe.

Finally got the courage to attack the RHS fuel tank filler hole and cut the blasted thing out...drill...measure...grind...measure...grind more...insert tank...look...dremel grind...a bit more...snugs fit...grind more...nice even fit. Insert spacer, drill holes in back of seat, brackets in, straps attached, tank back in...forgot sturdy foam support under tank, refit and drill strap securing hole, weld captive nut in...voila. All done...

Tomorrow morning will run the hoses for the tanks. Thought about using the front cross brake line as a fuel line so will toy with that in the morning. Purists will hate me for it!

3/16" OD brake line is a bit small and won't fit 1/4" hose.
I used a length of 1/4" Yankee fuel hose instead. After 10 years it hasn't gone hard like cheap stuff does.
I ran it to a brass tee below the LH tank.

You must have used heaps of clips I'd imagine, wouldn't the hose sag otherwise?
I've been thinking of what to use to replace my fuel line, I'm going to try and find some 1/4" stainless tube

Found some.1/4 inch steel hose so using this instead. No the hose wasnt sagging but worried of damage being in the boot.
