Post subject: | Distributor for warm 1098 |
Hi all, I need some solid info on which distributor is best for my 1098 build. Currently has an old 25d from the morris 1100 motor that was in it which I'm told has an unsuitable advance curve. Motor is currently being built. +0.060" (1150cc) RE266SS cam extractors (medium LCB i think) Twin HS2 carbs on standard manifold, there is a vacuum takeoff on there. Some very mild porting and chamber work done by me on the 202 head. I just want a nice road motor with some extra poke as a weekender and maybe drive to work now and then on the highway. I'm told the curve on a 43d or a 45d will be suitable, but was advised that one without the vac advance on a modified motor would work well. Can I use the vac advance one for economy as well, surely that would have an advantage as long as it doesn't sacrifice power? I'm not up to speed on all this so would appreciate some input. thanks |
