Josh,

i got a similar thing on mine but runs the other way (to the rear) i will get a piccy for you, it really made my engien very solid, i also run a heavy duty one at the clutch side to replace the std one.

That one in the pic is running towards the rear of the car isn't it?

I was also looking at these...Gearbox stabiliser kit from Mini Spares..Runs from the gearbox to the subframe..

Funny how we had all that crap available back in the 60s for 850s already. :lol: They had pissweak gearbox location too.
I'll keep my Mk2 S remote box thanks... :wink:

yeah josh i was wrong it does go to the rear but on the drivers side of the gearbox, mine is on the passengers side of the gearbox, still got no pics for you but i should be in the garage tonight doing s few other things.

i got mine from mini car clinic a few years back now, as kev siad they had them in the 60,70's and i guess they worked well cause they are still around now and every little bit of extra engien stability helps mine is almost rock solid.
