hey all..

well at the swap meet this morning i picked up a complete 1100s (1275 auto)
motor, (and got it for a steal aswlell!)

now what will have to be modified to fit it to the mini van subframe?

the fella i bought it off said that the mounts are different and will require a little work to fit???

and would it be hard to replace the auto with a manual box straight of another morris 1100 motor?

any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

cheers,

blake

If you want it modded for a manual, strip it, and bring the block over...

It will fit your Mini, you just need to change to a Mini Auto subframe. Easy! I've done it to my Moke.

Keep it Auto, it's four speed Auto and can be driven fully manual when you want.

But put 12 or 13" wheels on it or it'll be flat out 90MPH @ 6000 rpm..
Overall F/D is only 3.76:1. (diff 3.26, but drop gears are less then 1:1) 8)

That's abit slack, considering he already took your deposit, I would take that as an agreement to sell the item...

Chong is right though, another one will turn up soon enough ;)

I know the feeling, dad and I went and looked at an old running 850 that I wanted to buy. Was broke at the time but was expecting money that week. Said we'd be back next week with $100 to pick it up. Rang dad friday morning, "I don't wana sell it now, keeping it for my daughter". I drove past it the other day, hasn't done anything to it. Maybe I should go see him again.
