I'm not sure about which stuff to use, but won't steel just add excessive weight?

Cams rollcage material secs. are
Cold drawn seamless steel tensile strenght of 350MPA
Main hoop 44.5mm OD 2.5 wall
Other bars 38mm OD 2.5mm wall
These are for racing uses so road use may require different specs.

Just to add to above, CDW (welded) or CDS(seemless) is OK.

CAMS have it all wrong here. Dick Johnson used good old Palmer Tube Mills (now Smorgan steel tube) pipe in his Sierras and these cares were shipped to Oz in half cuts, easier to ship.
The CDW and CDS is not made in Australia and has to be imported, expensive.

Good enough for Dick the Ozzie made 450 grade should be allowed but CAMS are knobs!!!

If its about protection why don't CAMS make the older log booked cars with alloy roll cages put the steel cagesin?
