Hi just saw a good clean example of air box for long weber manifold on davem's thread viewtopic.php?f=2&t=87955 and wondered, does anyone make them as a unit.... or have plans already made... i know i can just use the CAMS info and make up a cardboard box pattern to start, but i was struck at how tidy the one in the photo looked Cheers Darryl |

Hey Darryl, On a previous car for my Weber box, I just used a battery box from a boot section and modified it. It's a bit ghetto, but worked fine. I'll see if I can find some photos. For my current car I'm pretty sure I bought a prefabbed weber box, but buggered if I know where from. Probably from eBay, I found this one but I'm sure I didn't pay that much... On the upside, it has the dimensions in the advert ![]() http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mini-Weber-Bu ... 20f18ab420 Cheers, Keels. |

If fitting a Weber box, don't make it too small. One member here got one put in, and it cleared the short K&N Weber filter OK. But, this filter didn't flow enough air for the motor (with 120HP at the crank). He didn't want a Ramflo on there, so he was stuck with using 2x Unifilter socks. [edit] manifold was an RE5". |

Thanks curly, that is good to see the actual proposal. Interesting, that the focus needed to be safety. Do you have info around other single make approvals, that seem to give an advantage against other makes? Eg mustang brakes .. For single make races it doesn't matter as they all have access to the same rule set. Interesting ta |

Each make and model have their own active pressure group looking to find an edge on the opposition. This type of politicing was one of the factors that eventually turned me away from Grp N racing ![]() |
