Hi again all Im looking for recommendations of who to take my 998 engine to for a freshen up in Adelaide, as i want to start getting the ball rolling (and need to know what sort of cost im looking at). Ive only dealt with people who work with Jap motors, so not sure if theres someone in particular that you guys know of that is a preferred Ive got a cam to go in, want to get the head freshened up and compatible with unleaded fuels, and whatever is necessary in the bottom end for the freshen up (im prepared to throw some new pistons / rods / bearings at it in a worst case scenario). Its a previously unopened and has been an otherwise unmodified 998. Ive removed the motor already and have the head / block separated and wrapped in plastic. Internally everything is still together in both top and bottom ends Thanks in advance |

Richardsons Engines on Mullers Rd Hampstead Gardens did my 1360 block last time. They used to do all Tilbrooks Mini Centre work when it was round the corner many years ago. Chris Milton Race Engines at Prospect is good, but you pay top dollar there, far more than Richardsons. |

depends on your budget, if your looking too keep your engine or upgrade. theres a few places in the eastern states that do an engine exchange mini & moke world do a 1100 for around $6k which is a full essembled 1100 that makes same power as a stock 1275 & a rebuilt gearbox |
