ne ideas? Perhaps some smaller solid discs and falcon calipers? (the falcon calipers have intergral handbrake mechanism) not KAD type, but something to suit my camira option for the front. |

If you use the search button you will find a few threads where people have asked about rear discs. I would advise against rear discs as too much effort for too little gain but that is just my view ![]() I had an XF Falcon with rear discs and the integral handbrake is a pain as it has a habbit of seizing up (sometimes in the off position but most often in the on position!) |

Yeah my EA Falcon did the same, I changed both sides.. Falcon calipers would be way too big anyhow.. Fiat 124 or 125 rear calipers were similar design but smaller and their handbrakes didn't seize. Better mechanism.. ![]() Most cars made now with rear discs have brake shoes inside the disc.. so the handbrake actually works! ![]() |

If you really want to up the stopping power of the rear brakes, just fit some Superfin drums if you REALLY want. Discs on the rear is a big waste. |

Mano, Cant see the point really with less than 300kg at the rear, why need huge brakes. All you will get is contsatnt wheel lock unless you use a very sensitive biasing valve which equal more $$. Superfins yes, discs?? Andrew |
