Post subject:  no high beam plz help

hi guys i bought a mini and all the wiring seems to be butured,now im wondering is there a relay on a 1976 mini or is it possible that the headlights might be buggerd. i think my low beam works just need to know of theres a relay for it,thanks guys and pic would be great,ive checked the whole egine bay.checked the indicator switch seems to be fine.thanks guys

Do your windscreen wipers work at both speeds? Does yor light switch work on both settings? Do your indicators work properly?

Check out those things, and post back.

There is no relay for high beam unless it has been added, popular mod is to add a relay it protects things like the hi - low beam switch in the indicator stalk which can be hard to get replacements for.

ok indicators work,wipers work both speeds.could it be that both lights are just old and dnt work anymore? when i turn my lights on and pull the indicator switch up my lights are on but like there low beam and when i push it down i lose it all but when i pull it back it works again but no high beam

ok guys bought 2 brand new headlights and its not the problem.got the tester screwdriver out and when the head lights are on the 2 side wires on the head light are running negative and when i put on the hight beams and lose my head lights and have nothing,all the wires that goto the head lights are runing negative thru them if that helps any1.i just bought a brand new rdline manifold and i dnt really wanna put the dollorto on till the high beam is fixed
