anyown know the biggest engine allowable for a mini registered in vic. i've checked vic roads but cant find anything. the nsw limit is 3xtare weight so roughly 2.1ltrs.

In the ACT and I think this is very similar in NSW and probably VIC is a quotient based on the highest capacity engine available for that the vehicle standard so eg. 1275 (1.3) x 1.35 for NA and 1.25 for turbo.

nah matt NSW goes on the weight of the car...

If your mini weighs in at 750kg like mine then you are allowed to go 3x750 for NA or 2.5x750 for turbo.

So you could go a 2.2L NA or 1.8L turbo in a 750kg car.

Actually Brad I think your right I got a bit arse around I might confer on the examiners handbook sitting under my bed (very handy).
