steve, marcello and i considered a conversion for:

1100, deluxe, moke seriously as things in groups of three are always cheaper and easier

but things have been distracting us

1100 was sold
deluxe got two brothers
moke is already difficult to rego as is, and his brother was in an accident recently

that is to say we haven't abandoned the plans

steve may make a mini hot rod
marcello may pull out mo's engine
i will attend to trev's engine as its sump is gritty and smoking slightly

but for now, the conversions on the shelf, for me anyway

dude.... you can't be semi considering... your choice is not doing it, considering it or doing it...

there's no in between..

semi considering

basically what you've told us is you're thinking about considering it...

How's life working in the Department of Redundancy Department?

RE Cushy: Nice... :D

I would go buy another Mini (wouldn't want to wreck the one I have now) and do it, if I could just buy a subframe for it. I can't be bothered making one, let alone actually knowing what I'm doing.

While we're at it, I think just about everyone, myself included, who has been for a drive in brad's car is considering a starlet conversion

Hi All,

I'm halfway there already (if these idoits in the Dept Transport can get all their sh*t in one sock!)

I would gladly help anyone in SE Queensland if they needed it. :D

Can anyone help me with a CB70 (researching for a mate!)

Regards,
Andrew

I'm about 80% there in 11 months. I had heard that one had been done (which was obviously Brad's) which is why I went the 4EFTE route instead of the G13B. Then I found Brad's website. :D Then I was away.

Mines done just going through the engineering process
Didn't know about the others till found Brads web site while looking for a ECU wiring diagram in Sept. 04 at that stage engine was in.
Had already fitted a 4EFTE into a mini based motorkahna special in 2000

I'm probably about halfway there, i've go the subframe built and the engine in. Since i'm trying to get it done in a roundnose, it might be awhile before i sort everything out, ie. radiator, turbo, oil filter. Seems to be no end in sight for the moment... :?
