Hi I have pulled the engine from the car and started to pull it down :)
So far I have found it has a 12g202 head with double valve springs, head appears to have been played with at some point.
Bore is standard but I want to change that hehe
Perry extractors with inch and three quarter exhaust.
Just looking to make a strong street engine that may be used for some motorsport fun.
Just a few questions regarding valves etc, is it a good thing to put bigger valves in and I read in vizards book about thinning the waist of the valve. Does this do much or is it really chasing small gains?
Also looking to increase the compression ratio so flat top pistons would be a good thing. GR has some I understand for 1100's.
Just looking for some pointers as to what to do and what not to do.

Now I know a lot of you will say why not put a 1275 in but they are scarce to come across and I want to learn as much as possible by doing it myself.

Andrew.

Hi Andrew
I'll talk to you if no body else will,i just love small bores.
We have bigger valves made for these motors inlets1.218 and 1.260 and exhausts 1.070,a change of cam and an 1.3/4 su on a late manifold or an after market manifold you all ready have the exhaust just depends how far you want to go with your motor. i have up to .100tho over size in pistons, getting 90 hp out of these little motors is not hard.
IF you like to give me a ring i can talk to you in more detail about what you want to do, 0296302195

Hi Andrew, I hope you keep updating this as I'm also looking at doing up my 1100 for street and to show off a bit. Maybe we could bounce around a couple of ideas, are you thinking turbo/ super charged at all?

Cheers,
Jaden
