Can I remove my backseat and leave bare metal ?

I plan to attack the interior with a fair bit of fabric, so I plan on getting rid of the back seat if it is legal.

(Im in NSW)

Anyone know ?

I do believe that if it was made with back seats they must stay , if you remove them you'll need to get it engineered, crazy I know.

In QLD you need to have a blue plate stating the reduction in seating capacity, also the DOT will need to be notified, so that when u do your rego it comes up stating that car only has seating capacity for 2.
