Somewhere in the original thread it stated: "Plugs: NGK BP6ES, Bosch W6DC are also good. Plug gaps- .040" fires OK with the stock Nissan 1.5 ohm coil to 8000 rpm" I just reset my current plugs to a 0.035" gap for the time being, with no problems. I will change to the NGK BP6ES with a 0.040" gap next service and give it a try. |

Plugs are always chosen based on the motor, NOT the dizzy.. Whatever plugs you have running now will still be fine. Open 'em up a bit as said. If you get any misfiring, close them back up a bit. .035"- .040" usually OK. ![]() |

Read an indepth article on plug gap and the outcome was 0.8mm. Forced induction or NA hot or std all came back to best overall performance from 0.8mm. I did find interesting the note regarding spark energy and duration. Seems that atomisation and turbulance was the gremlin for plug deterioration. hmm go figure |

Nope, the " stands for imperial measurment of inches, also ' stands for feet. Edit: Ie. 0.040" is 0.040 inches. Ie. 3' is 3 feet. |

0.8mm (divide by 25.4 mm to the inch) = approx. 0.032" |
