Hi Guys , Does anyone know if the Warneford twin 1'1/4 su inlet manifolds are any better than a stock leyland twin manifold , also how do you locate them as they don't have a locating ring and i'm using a 12g295 head .

Yes they DO work better than the twin HS2 Cooper manifolds.
You located them on the studs originally, if yours has had the ends cut off, get em TIG welded and file to fit.
[edit] they located on the studs as they were a universal accessory, fitted 850-998 Mini and Morris 1100 too.
