Hey,

1. What size spanner should I be using on the bleed nipples on (non-cooper) rear wheel drums?
2. What size are they when you go buy replacements?
3. Are they readily available from global-auto-cheap-co
4. Can you guess what I did :-P

Only 2 things work..
vyce grips....
Or a socket, I think they are 6mm? Maybe..

If you've busted it off, go see a brake shop. : 8)

You have used a shifter and rounded it off, or you have snaped it off as previously said,
Get the vice grips onto it now . these do come out and can be replaced, but a new cylinder is only 20 something bucks.

Cheers

yeh its just rounded off.

Is the best bet to remove the nipple and go down to supercheap and try to pick up identical ones?

The nipples are so close to the backing plate and on an angle so it makes it really hard to turn them... especially when there's a hose on the nipple.

Thanks guys.

Or you can buy the right brake bleed spanner for about $20!
