Hey all, i am looking to change the front lights on my round nose van.. Any type of light will be considered, if a modification is needed to fit the light that is also alright as i have already modded the rear lights. So if anyone has any sugestions of a different light i could put in....? Cheers Daniel |

Depends on whether you want just a straight H4 conversion, a superbright $$$ HID Conversion or something custom? I personally just went with some H4 Hellas that i'm very happy with. |

I brought in some Wipac Quadoptics from MiniSpares UK. Very nice beam- cost me $110 a while back, Hella H4s were $150 then. ![]() They bolt straight into your sealed beam surrounds. |

best thing i ever did for the mini minor when i was travelling up and down the coast was to put the H4s in. i just can't get used to the non-light originals in the 850 now. must be about .000000001 candle power each |

With any plastic reflector lamps, watch the wattage on your bulbs.. Mini Mad had angel eyes with 100W+ bulbs- they burned holes in the back and cracked the lens in front! ![]() |

Gents, are the Hella straight from the auto parts shop and are the bulbs replaceable? Thanks Ziff |

Yes, they are a direct replacement, perfect fit. Part # 3604/100 (the 100 is for 100W high beams, they also come in a 3604 which has lower (60W) wattage bulbs uncluded..same price) both are 55W low beam though, and these are as bright as the 100W i had in the angel eye's.. http://db.hella.com.au/cgi-bin/catalogue.pl?flcmd=preview&flmaint=826 [edit]On all H4's the bulbs are replaceable ![]() |

I wanted any sugestionon either, from another car or a replacement.. If there was a replacement that was going to look good and not need any body mods then, id go that way, but if there was a very good looking light out of another car that would fit without too much mods then i would even consider that.. The volkswagon lights in my opinion look sweet, but way to much work, I think the bonnet and the grille both had to be modded....? |

As said before, Hella, Wipac, Cibie, PIAA, Narva all make light units that go straight in. You will need relays and bigger earths to make the most of them. On a rally car we wired it so both beams were on at once. They were Alfa Romeo lights we got out of a wreck. The brand escapes me (old timers disease) |

I just swapped over from sealed beam to halogen in my mustang. Very nice looking units that cost me $19 each from an autoelec at a swap meet, plus $19 for a set of ultrabright bulbs....total cost $57. You can find halogen bulbs at the swaps for next to nothing. I just felt like paying a bit more. |
