| Post subject: | Spring seat cutter |
Folks I am building a head for a race mini and I need to lower spring seats to suit new springs, does anyone know were i can buy a valve spring seat cutter from. I have searched the web but can't find anything that is the right size. Any help would be appreciated Ta Mal |

I know what you have in mind, the flat cutter works similar to a tap reseater but is mounted on a pilot. Not seen one for years. It is possible to make a HSS single point tool to put in a bench drill, but IMO would be easier to take the head to a machine shop and let them spotface the spring seats in a milling machine.
