there seems to be a few sc12's around for 250 - 300 bucks...

my head toys with the idea of having one on a mini one day...

is it the sort of thing i should just grab one now and sit it in the shed until i'm ready to buy the kit and fit it (this may be in 5 years!)

i'm thinking they'll get harder and harder to find so for a small outlay now i could beat the price rises??

wish i'd never sold that HIF44 now!

That seems to be the going rate, They are popular for a huge number of different cars not just minis.

Ive heard of people pulling them out of all the wreckers yards and selling them on ebay for a tidy profit, so theres probably still bargains to be had.

Whether they will increase in value in 5 years? I doubt they will by any great ammount, they arent exactly rare.

I brought one with a stromberg carbie last Friday for $220, I've paid $150 for a SC14 and $200 for an AMR300. I haven't used any yet but plans are brewing...
I wouldn't pay anymore than $300 for one but with saying that I've seen them on ebay for $500
