why not forget putting an engine up front and go for a rear mounted one..? There is a moke with a Toyota engine done like that.

Alternatively what about a Hybusu motorbike conversion... now THAT would be mad.

The moke is a 4 seater so with the rear seats so Very little room in the back for a motor.
Rear wheel drive moke would be sick tho....

Also have a 45DECO weber but on a goose neck manifold....
does it still kick an SU's performance even with the goose neck?

I want to try and avoid andy more Mods to the body, its all painted now and don't want to be cutting holes and chipping the paint work.
Expensive paint!!!

Daniel.

Well, you've just about rules out ANY engine conversions....

Personally, i would have added a motor and done any mechanicals BEFORE the painwork, but hey, thats just me

I'm actually planning a conversion to a moke myself as we speak...

12A 5-speed FWD . . . . .

Engineer has approved in concept...

Just got to sort the engine / gearbox adaptor, the driveshafts and actually buy a moke and we're good to go !

J

If i had the big budget i'd too be doing a AWD moke.
Sounds like a big conversion for a motor that only put out around 1146cc??
If i stick too a blown 1293cc im sure that'll suit my needs

Whack a Jap import SC12 supercharger kit on the 1293 and you'll have all the performance your front tyres can handle - probably more :D

For drag or short bursts, it's hard to go past the value of nitrous.

Put both of the above on, polish the SC12 and you'll have a winner for show & on the strip
