i drilled a plate to the side of the car (one on each side) in the middle of the 2 dsh rails, so you srew it into them, 2 screws on each side, all it needs! |

yea, thats how they factory rover ones are. I am not keen on drilling and screwing into my rails, so I'll take option 2 ![]() |

they hook in behind the top and bottom rails. have one in the middle and at each end of the custom dash reach up from underneith to do up the wing nuts |

Yours is a clubby right? If so there should be two screws holes in the top dash rail that used to hold in the radio I used these and a piece of aluminium that holds my dash in. It depends on what you dash looks like though, I didn't like the idea of making more holes than strictly nessicary either JAM |

ahhhk thats seems quite easy, i think i will do the bracket, but what about the cluster of guages, you know the standard clubman ones, i have 2 in that twin cluster, and my tacho is sitting on its own to the side, and that cluster protrudes out further so how do these gauges fit exactly into place behind the dash face? |

take off the binical surround [the plastic bit that is sticking out too much] from your 2 gauge instrument cluster the dash now fits up flush to the instrument cluster glass your tach and any other accillary gauges get mounted directly onto the board of the new dash [you may need surface mounting brackets if your tacho is currently pod mounted] have fun Dat |

Look closer at the pic above - see how they have used several layers of the wood to make it sit out a bit to allow for that difference around the gauges and the slight differece in the angle of the glass compared to the dash. Plagerism is the highest form of flattery. |

Well my pacel shelf is covered by vinyl covered board, but the frame supporting this is just that a frame not solid metal. There is a very large opening on each side of the car along the parcel shelf, more than adiquate to get a hand up in behind a custom dash. I have a clubbie but with a centre clock Morrie dash [one of those povety pack government specials] so I wouldn't be at all surprised if your roundie dash was the same. |
