hey.. guys.

i have bought a 1275 'carby' manual rover engine & i'm looking to put it in.

i have never done it before but i cant wait to get in head on :D

got some one helping me who has done a few mini's.

is there any thing i should know when doing this. he did give me linkages also.

any major drama's i should know about.

yes i'm from brisbane north side.


gonna attempt it my self save some cash ive spent enough allready..

i've been told it is about $500 to put an engine in? i would rather save that money & put it to use on something else more fun :)

i might pm him.. ive noticed he was selling front cut parts he might have put in a rover engine.

that all seems straight forward but the linkages? gear box will sit thats i'm confused about.

i guess i can pay the mini guys to do that.

You are either going to have a rod chane gear box or a remote change as per the pics / guide. If u have rod change, one engine is installed, you can them connect the linkages and pin and ur done. Did you get a front cut or just a rover engine/gearbox set up?

yeh it is rover engine/gearbox set up.

it has a 1100 in at the moment.

i think it's a remote that's the later one?

well she drives now.. it has a recond 1100 engine in it.

but i have a rover engine as well.

so i'm gonna do the swap. not to sure when.. hopefully before the new year..

should be fun cant wait to drive it with the bigger engine though!

& yeah i can help you, just let me know what you need & i`ll look after you,,, i`m not a greedy bugga at all & $500 sounds a bit much just to put a motor in.
