Hi Guys, Im redoing my engine, and was looking at the Keith Dood Rockers 1.5 but have heard they are having problems. Anyone using the Roller Tip Rocker Assemblies - Mini Sport - 1.5:1 - Red, and if so what are they like. My car will be a 1380 with a 266 Kent Cam, Twin 1.5 SU Carbs. Cheers |

Would that be Minisport in South Australia, or Minisport UK. Because they are different I believe. The SA Minisport sells Minispares products. No idea about the rocker's though.... |

the Minisport UK 1.5:1 rockers are red, i know. only complain i have with them is they use a bush and not a spring between the rockers and are a bit noisy. i have never had any problems with the Dodd rockers but have seen Minisport ones broken (but i don't know if they were fitted correctly) |

I saw a set of Minisport red 1.5 roller tip ones get flats on many of the rollers in under 10,000 km. It was years ago though, new ones may be better. ![]() re the 1.5 Minispares forged ones, I've done about 40,000 miles on a set and they are fine. God knows where they are made now though- India? China? ![]() |

I bought a set of the 1.5s from MiniSport UK about a month ago. Not on the car yet so can't say anything about performance or how long they will last. I can comment however on the poor service from Minisport. I paid top dollar/pound to get them here in 6 to 7 seven days, took more like 6 to 7 weeks. Despite me emailing them constantly, they didn't like to reply to my correspondence. Previous to this purchase I had bought heaps from them, now I dunno if I would again. ![]() |

Have not heard or read about any problems with Keith Dodd 1.5's. The Doc gave me some advice about replacing rocker bushes and shaft on this set-up...but I put that down to normal wear and "tear". ![]() |

That Minispares may have changed the supplier, and some have been 1.6 and even 1.7 from the factory, I might go with a set from MED in the UK, they seem to have a good history?? Cheers |

Cheers MED rockers are outstanding from all reports. Haven't used them yet myself though. They are the ones I would get next time i buy a set, no questions asked, and Steve Whitton (MED) is a great guy by email! Cheers M |

Doc,,,, i`ve allways said that you have a good shaft ![]() & with regards to "roller" rockers,,, that`s why my own design have extreamly hard actual roller bearings (2 or them on each tip) as the roller on the tip of the rocker & not just a pin through a piece of steel roller |
