Okay I have seen the job that redi strip did on gerg's block.
Is there somewhere in WA that does the same thing?

Think it would be a good idea to get the internal's nice and clean before the rebuild.

Regards

Mate, I just checked the Reddistrip web site thinking that they might have been national but it looks like they are only in Blacktown... :( bummer.

Good luck mate.

yeah I checked there too, thinking the same thing. Your block looks great and should give trouble free cooling etc.
So I thought I would do the same........

Many places can offer you a hot tanking service on your block. Hand it over with all the gallery plugs removed and it will cost you around the fifty mark.

I worked for an engine reco shop once, they used to use a hot caustic soda bath for cast iron blocks.
Not sure what they use now...
