Not sure if its been asked,

saw a mini race car with a solid rear axle set up, using two motor bike coil overs. he said it works VERY well.

can you use them in the front?

just a question :)

You'd probably have to modify the mounts though as the mini coilovers have the top mount offset to keep the normal shock geometry standard . Hard to describe but look at the top of the coilovers on ebay etc and you'll see .

Yes, I have. I am looking at getting a set, thought I might be able to get away with using motor bike ones in the rear, and mini ones in the front. but looks like ill be getting a set.

I think thats a really good price also.

I put motor bike coil overs on my old mini many many years ago. They bent to an...... interesting shape :) I ended up getting a set of bilsteins made for it.. cost a friggen fortune and was soooo NOT worth it. But meh I could say that about most of the mods I did in my youth :)

Motorcycle coil overs seem pretty pointless considering you couldn't even buy 2 suitable units for the price of the SPAX conversion. That and you can guarantee that the spring rate would be incorrect, not having been made with Minis in mind.

dunno about the front because of engine weight but i know they work on a rear beam.. i have one in my race car.. dunno what they are off.. i think 1375 or whatever the coil kit costs is a little too much too.. shop around..
