I had already chosen to take the supercharged road before I bought the Rover. Before a few days ago it was going to be a loooong time off before I even contemplated thinking about it too seriously. Some stuff came up for sale on here and spare cash meant I snapped it up as soon as I could.
All going well Lownblowns SC'er gear should end up on the Central Coast.
Now I need to get serious and build an engine that can take it. I don't think I will be touching the rover engine, as I think having a nice spare stocko engine if anything brakes is a comfort.
I understand a good quality build requires cash, so I want to try and budget as much as I can sensibly afford over 8-12 months. Plan is to get the engine planned and detailed out, then just have it built in one hit. My stock 1100 build set me back $3000 - $3500, so I would guess I would max the budget out at 6-8k for something a lot nicer.
So now what to do ?
I want to figure out the best setup to match being supercharged.
I'm not after a stupidly large amount of power, just enough to have fun with.
