Hi all,

Ok so i have just taken owner ship of my new moke!!!! A few problems i have found at the moment.

1. The nuts to hold on the side window visors i cannot find available any where round me!
2. the indicatiors did work on the way home but now have stopped along with the fuel gauge and window wipers :(
3. She blow a bit of smoke, lol. She hadnt been run for 6 months. I shall have to some some new hose's belts etc.

Any one know where is a good place to go in Adelaide to pick up bits n peices?

A few places in adelaide.

Morris Mania
- Kent Town (Fullarton Rd)
Mini Tech Motors - Marion (Norfolk Rd, off Marion Rd)
Brickworx Racing - Pooraka (South Rd)
Newport Motors - Royal Park (Out that way)
Mini Sport - Lonsdale-ish (South Rd)
Blair Athol Auto - Mini King - Kilburn (Churchill Rd)

What suburb are you in? As for the electrical bits, replace the fuses and give that area a good cleaning.

g'day jono, good choice with the moke mate

there are a few places in adelaide that are mini specific...there's brickworx racing on south rd, minisport on south rd as well, morris mania on fullarton rd in kent town, umm...minitech motor (dunno where they are, ive never used them)...and there's one other in blackwood or somewhere i think, no doubt someone on here will know their name

i've used brickworx, morris mania and minisports and havent had any problems with any of them, i tihnk brickworx usually has the best prices

Nuts on side window visors? You mean the perspex side screens both sides of the windscreen? Most Mokes just have little dome headed nuts. Available at any Bunnings.

Instead do you mean the tiny turn-knob fasterners for the flappy plastic side curtains? Try a boat shop or motor trimmer. They are commonly used on boat canopies and caravan annexes.

Drive it round for a while, the smoke might clear considering it has been sitting for a while.

Change the oil, who knows what's in it, it could be causing the smoke.

CV boots cracked... often means that the CV's are stuffed, too. If the boots are cracked, all the dirt and grime gets in and wears the CV's out, though you may be lucky.

Welcome to ausmini!
